Even though it doesn’t seem like it, we’re slowly easing into a new season. Spring hasn’t sprung in New York but everyone seems to have all the right vibes. And a girl can dream, even if just inside her apartment. Case in point. I selected a few pieces I’m seeing all over, that help transition into a warmer weather. Or at least the spirit of it. Updating your wardrobe for spring doesn’t have to be hassle. Mainly because you can still wear winter pieces and combine them with summer ones.
#1 Khaki Pants

Also seen here, khaki pants are invading the best of wardrobes. Coming from a very utilitarian spirit – seen all over the runway – they plunge a practical vibe and I’m-in-charge attitude. I’ve been experimenting them with all sorts of tops, and this one made the cut. Such a casual piece has to be combined with others more refined.

#2 Denim

I don’t think denim will ever go out of style. But this season, it’s time to fetch all your good ol’ denim friends. Whether we’re talking jeans, jackets or shirts. This little baby I got last summer has been a definite bff . Any denim piece makes every outfit look instantly cool.

#3 Corsetry

We’ve been seeing slip dresses, camisoles, and the 90’s all over. This is a trend I started to wear last summer but it’s one for the books in 2017. That, and pretend corsets. We’ve all seen this Zara t-shirt right? I won’t say never but I’m pretty sure I won’t budge in this particular trend. I love the idea of wearing slip dresses over camisoles or tees, but not the corset per se. Even though I love seeing it on other people!

#4 Pink details

Pink transitioned from a full look to small details. Take a subtle pink shoe, purse or nail polish. I’ll say it again, pink is a color to be embraced, and if you want to dress in head to toe, you should too. I’m taking little things with me this season.

#5 Oversized Shirts

Thank you Schmuck Peace for sponsoring this post.
White, green, blue. You’ll be seeing so-many-shirts this season. I’ve been a long advocate of the style (see here, here and here). But this year, I’m going to use and abuse. Not only are they comfy but so versatile. You can totally wear them down, a bit more formally or invest in the details. Say, a nice necklace, a beautiful pair of rings or some fancy slippers.
