Three Way Classic Sports Pants

When I was in the 12th grade, my mom got me these pants from a Portuguese brand – Salsa. I adored those pants. They were sort of like suit pants but had this slimming effect with a white stripe on each side. I wore them until they didn’t fit anymore. The bottoms were completely tornΒ out and there wasn’t a single way they could handle another wear. Those were the times. Ha! Late last year, I got a somewhat similar pair, on sale, at Zara while in Portugal. Because I feel they are so versatile, I thought I’d do a three way classic sports pants.

#1 With a striped shirt

I’ve been marinating on this outfit for quite some time. I pictured it in my head and it’s as good as I thought. Even though both pieces can be very classic, the slouchiness of the shirt tucked in and pulled back gives it a little something different. Of course I can only wear these pants with a pair of heeled boots – they are rather long. But I love how elongating they are.

#2 With a casual tee

If the pants weren’t so long, I would totally wear this look with some sneakers. I’m definitely more into loose silhouettesΒ and this one is appropriate for several different occasions. Work, lunch, dinner and even casual drinks.

#3 With a black spaghetti strap top

This look almost gives you the illusion of being a jumpsuit. The elegance of the spaghetti top with the sliming effect of the classic sports pants is just on point. And there’s nothing better than wearing a jumpsuit without the complicated bathroom debacle. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, try going to the bathroom 5 times a day while wearing a jumpsuit. Not practical at all.
