A while back I posted on Insta Stories a DIY project (pictured here). I remember I got a lot of messages asking where I got the paintings on the frames. I’ve been a long time admirer of Henri Matisse and Picasso’s earlier work. And ever since I got this pillow, I see drawn faces and abstract drawings every-freaking-where. I love the style, the pictures, the paintings, the .
It was not the first DIY project I managed around the apartment. But it certainly is my favorite so far. The only thing I did, was find drawings I loved online, print them in the frame size I had laying around and bam. With the help of my lovely husband, we hung them. It’s still a work in progress. I want to frame the whole wall with similar paintings. But the frame I want keeps selling out at IKEA. Eight more frames with colorful paintings like this one and I’ll be done with this project.
While I immensely appreciate the fact that I can do it myself, I also love that you have so many options to fall back on. Services like Framebridge and Havenly, to either custom frame art or pictures you love, or to help you decorate your space. Since I work from home, I praise my apartment a lot and try to make it the ideal place to both work and relax. Comfort is key, but since I’m a visual person, aesthetics as well.
