Because ladies are my specialty when it comes to gifting, I could not leave them out of the Valentine’s Day equation. There was a time when I got gifted on this day, and I usually ended up with flowers and chocolates (not complaining though). Lingerie was on my account (winky face). But again, the intention of the day is what gets to me. I love the idea of celebrating love – even if it’s just for your grandma. And falling back on old classics is always a great idea. Hence this practical and to the point gift guide for her.
Guys, most of us are very practical and love to be gifted things we can actually wear. Make up is always an amazing choice – or a make up bag for all our brushes. A notebook melts me away. Just thinking about a pretty stationary where I can write down all my thoughts, yum. Of course chocolates are a great option, but also a polaroid camera (I actually gifted one to one of my best friends over Christmas). A nice scarf for winter or a set of lingerie you want to see us wear. If your thoughts are right, nothing can go wrong.
The best present I ever gave someone was on a date anniversary. When me and my ex-boyfriend celebrated one year together, I did a scrap book of 365 things I loved about him. All with magazines and newspaper scraps. This was at a time where using the computer wasn’t necessarily the solution. It took me around 2 weeks to make the thing and it’s still one of my favorite gifts. I didn’t spend a lot of money on it and all it took was time. He loved it and hopefully, still has it. Ha!
