Three Way Gingham Skirt

Even though the weather in New York is getting colder, I’m still clinging on what’s left of this beautiful sun. I decided to take this fall’s trend, and style the most amazing skirt Zara has ever made three different ways. You might’ve already seen it here and here, but there are a 1000 different possibilities. And I took the challenge. Not only because it’s the most fun I have creating a post, but because in real life, we wear the same outfits/combinations/items often and often again.

We can also call that CPW – or cost per wear.

I swear I’ve been seeing this skirt everywhere, but when the time came to show you street style images of it, total blank. I searched and searched, but couldn’t find them. But I got loads of inspiration with gingham. Which is one of my ultimate love affairs. Remember? That shirt is still in my closet, and it has been for the past 7 years. Gingham is a no miss.

The Casual Sunday Brunch: I wore this a few weeks ago and just loved it. Went out for brunch with a few friends and it felt casual, yet playful enough. The twist is definitely in mixing the leopard sneakers with the gingham pattern. Full proof combination.

The Bold Pattern Mix: not every print goes well together. We have to be careful enough not to let them clash. But while I was browsing through Pinterest, this was the most common mix, stripes and gingham. And what do you know, they go perfectly together. Even if the top was a different color, I don’t think it would’ve been wrong.

The Classic and Twist: this is my definite favorite one. And as I’m always preaching, beauty is in the details. The knots of the knit, the side slit and the classic Chanel, topped off with a bold red lipstick. Definitely will be wearing this as often as possible.
