Lately I’ve been focusing a lot on the layering issue. Since winter really started for me, I cannot stress out enough how important it is for us to keep warm and embrace those layers. Whowhatwear decided to show us some inspiration on layers and how to sport them and I decided to try it myself, go to some of my favorite websites, and help you out layering those clothes.
If you are a cardigan girl, button it down with a shirt and a lace top. Cover it up with a faux fur scarf and a fedora hat to protect from the cold running down your head. I embraced cardigans this year – something I haven’t done since my friends used to call me old lady back in college. I was on to something guys! Give it a modern touch but don’t let it get boring.
A military coat, an oversized shirt and sweater and a checked scarf, topped with a comfy and cozy coat, can do no wrong. It may sound like you won’t be able to move, but trust me, you will. And when you go for lunch or a coffee, you can always peel the layers down to the sweater or shirt.
I still stand by what I wrote here but I’ve embraced loose turtlenecks on chunky knits. When we are talking about cold, and even if you wear a scarf, loose turtlenecks can save you from a cold. Top it with a long sweater and a belt to shape your waste and we have a winter winner!
