I realize New York Fashion Week was already two weeks ago and London, Milan and Paris are taking their courses – and some finished as well – but I take my time analyzing thoroughly the street style. I browsed through the collections but street style is always what gets my eye, mainly because it’s what captures the essence of what goes on in the runways and how each single person interprets what they see. It’s safe to say that people had to be creative in New York given how cold it was and the word of each and every single day was: layers! Oversized coats, a lot of faux fur and chunky knits and then, woman started styling all these items. Belts came outside and comfortably surrounded coats and knits, faux fur was all over the place in scarves, coats, gloves, hats, over and under, and oversized scarves were turned into one of the most important piece of accessory worn. It almost seemed like they were trying to dress their entire closet – which I loved! I’ve been doing pretty much the same for the past few months and almost stopped worrying about what matches what because the most important thing is keeping yourself warm.
