Atelier Beauté Chanel

Atelier Beauté Chanel

This past weekend, I had lunch with a friend in Nolita. While catching up, and strolling through the streets of SoHo, we bumped into the Atelier Beauté Chanel, on Wooster Street. I’d never seen it before, neither had my friend, so we decided to go in. You go up a flight of stairs and enter the world of Chanel beauté. It’s a heavenly experience, and all you need to do is sign up, was your hands and go.

It’s an immersive Chanel experience, where you get to try every single beauty product the brand carries. We, of course, said yes, put our things in a locker, registered, giggled and started. On a side note, I want to preface by saying that I tried on more than I actually apply and use daily. First, we washed our hands and face. I started by using , and the . My skin was clean and ready. Secondly, I created the perfect canvas for makeup with , and the .

Following the skin prep, I analyzed carefully the Chanel foundations. They have at least three different ones, and I’m guessing they care for different effects. But I ended up applying in the medium color. It was a fairly light foundation that can easily be built up, by adding more product. I have several breakouts on my chin that required extra layers. Which I finalized with in the shade 30 Beige and the number 20.

Next step in my routine are my brows. After the face is done, I have to stick a gel in those bad boys. But it took me a while to find the Chanel gel (ha!). Finally I saw in the color Blond, it did the job perfectly. Because I was in the Atelier Beauté Chanel, I added a little sparkle to my eyelids with the in the Undertone. I’d already tried this product and got the Rose Lamé color a few months ago, so I knew I loved the result. It creates a shimmery effect on your lids without it being too heavy or dark.

To finalize the look, I applied three more products; the Colour Stick number 21 to get some rosy on my cheeks, the in Sculpting as a highlighter, and the Rouge Allure Ink Matte Lip Colour in Amoureux.

As we left, we talked about the concept behind the whole Atelier Beauté Chanel and thought it was genius. In just 20 minutes, we got to experience any product we usually don’t have access to. And instead of buying something you’re not sure you like, you get to go in, try and see what works.
