I realize it’s been a month since my birthday, but I made a fun vlog of that weekend. I had one very specific plan: have pancakes at Clinton Street Bakery. M was working all day, but two of my girlfriends indulged me and came along. We had a decadent meal and great conversations. Followed by a fun stroll through SoHo and going back home to my dog and husband.
Later, I thought I was having dinner with only M. As we got to the restaurant, I saw a table with all our friends. My first birthday surprise ever. We all had Italian, wine and went for drinks at Sel Rrose, my new favorite place for Palomas and Margaritas. It was a great, simple celebration with lots to be thankful for. I figured 29 deserved a low-key celebration for a new, introspect year.
The rest of the weekend was highly eventful. Dinner with new friends, lunches and drinks with old ones. We reached Monday morning more exhausted than Friday evening. But that’s what it’s all about. If it’s a representation of what this new year is bringing, I can hardly wait. For more, watch the short, sweet vlog. And don’t mind the lack of Saturday footage – I was in pajamas most of the day.
