This is a long overdue vlog, but it’s finally here. Back in May, my brother and his girlfriend came to visit us in New York. We had such a great time and, one of the things we set out to do, was drive to Pittsburgh and see the Falling Water. For those of you who don’t know what the Falling Water is, it’s a house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. At the time, he was working for the Kauffman family. A very rich family in the 1930’s. They asked him to design the perfect vacation and holiday house. The premise of the house was to go unnoticed and blend in with the natural surrounding.
I don’t want to give too much away, but we were blown by the beauty of this place. I totally recommend that, if you have the chance, go see it. Make sure you book the tour, that’s the only way you can get inside the house. Also, do it early in the morning. We went at 8:30AM – which meant a 5:30AM wake up call – but it was not crowded or rushed. We got to walk around Pittsburgh for a few hours the previous day (you might remember my Instagram’s). Enjoy the sunset over the Ohio river. Take some pictures, eat some dinner and rest.
It was a very hectic trip, with loads of songs, sleep, rain, sun, food and too many hours in a tiny car. The drive from New York takes about 8 hours, and it was rough. Luckily, we got distracted with the filming and the result is a 6 minute video. It has a few insights of the house.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t film inside, but there’s a sneak peek.
Let me know what you think about it, I would love to know. And don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel – and stay tuned! Lots more happening soon. Also, drop me an e-mail if you’re looking for some tips like, places to stay, how to get to Pittsburgh or the Falling Water. I would love to help out.
