I keep coming back to this subject (here, here and here) because I keep reading a lot about it and, while I might sound repetitive, it’s just a way to keep my head clear from all the internet clutter – which I might be included sometimes. For bloggers, it has become imperative that we lead a life based on social media and our readers always like to know more about what goes on BTS (behind the scenes). I do the same with other people and if you go to my Instagram page, you realize I follow around 1200+ people (yekees!).
The thing I realize, now more than ever, is that I normally only post/take pictures when I’m by myself or working and realize I have a picture-worthy-moment. When I’m busy, with friends, walking around, shopping or having brunch, I push myself to remember to snap something and often forget! The same happens with Snapchat, when I’m home, by myself, doing regular-Joe-things, I remember to snap that bowl of fruit I’m having or an outfit but, later on, when I’m having a dinner with a friend or trying out a new class, it doesn’t even cross my mind.
I always figure that, for us millenniums, life is what happens when you forget to record it and that’s so true for me. I love looking at photos and reminiscing about what happened that day, but it’s also great to think that wow, I didn’t touch my phone the whole time.
