January is always a month that seems to go by slowly and, by its end, I feel like I reach my maximum whiteness and milk-skin look like. I actually don’t mind being this white, some of my friends rather have that constant sun kissed look, but I’ve learned to embrace it and be ok with it (even though a lot of people ask me if I’m sick). This previous month I ventured and tried a different concealer, tools and powders.
I finally deviated from my dearly Chanel concealer and tried the NARS Creamy Concealer in the Vanilla shade. I’ve been watching several beauty and make up tutorials on YouTube and heard so much about this product that I felt the need to try and have to say I’m love, love, loving it. It’s great with my skin, it blends in perfectly and created an instant illuminated effect.
Another thing that I realized I was seriously in need was tools. Watching those girls master seven different brushes made me covet them. I bought the Zoeva Golden Luxury set with eight essential brushes for a daily make up routine. Granted I haven’t even tried half of them but I’m in the learning process.
I’ve also been addicted to wearing rings and decorate my fingers with thin and dainty rings. My nails have been kind of on the soft side and, while I treat them without applying nail polish, I make them pretty with small accessories (also seen here).
Last but not least, this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit changed my life completely. It was recommended by a very good friend of mine and we’ve been talking about it since December so, when I first tried it, I was highly impressed with the results and have incorporated it in my daily routine to give my face a more structured and polished look.
