Since I started I life you, I’ve been noticing myself change each and every single week. It’s not just my visuality, aesthetics, graphic design skills but everything else that envolves all the details that go into writing a single post. My photography skills have improved, composition wise I feel like I’ve been starting to master what makes up for a good scheme of colors, objects or people, and also when it comes to beauty and fashion. Given that I take a lot of time to research for the posts I do, I’ve been reading a lot more, for the past nine months, than ever before. Whether it’s other blogs, magazines, books, hearing to what people want to see, read, what they like and even what they share. I make it a rule to post only things I’m interested about and would search for in other websites – mainly blogs. I seldom find myself re-reading my posts just to take note and make sure I’m doing everything the way I would.
When it comes to fashion, I always considered myself an expert until, about a few months ago, I realized I’m not. I’m truly not. I feel like I was being too safe and not taking enough risks with what I wear. I started to wonder why is that? It shouldn’t be! I’m certainly someone who knows enough to try different things, get creative, knows what looks good or not. So if there’s something I have been learning – quite a lot – is fashion. I learned what fashion rules we should be breaking, which are quite a few, by myself spotted the New York Fashion Week top trends and the top five trends for this spring and upcoming summer, which believe me it’s a big deal and also found inspiration in street style to fight the boredom of winter clothes.
Given that I’m keeping track with daily posts, it’s easier for me to perceive these changes and find a way to channel them into the things I do. I find myself feeling more and more inspired to try different trends, invest in classic basics and push myself to experiment and share with you guys the result – which would not be the same if you weren’t out there reading! I honestly feel like I learn something everyday and, especially with fashion, a subject that I feel so passionate about, gives me the motivation to pursue and explore my style potential and, of course, hopefully inspire you to do the same.
