We’ve seen them all around throughout spring and summer but it’s something that doesn’t work for me. Not that I am too short, but I would guess my legs would look like huge trunks of trees. There are some very beautifully designed culottes, but it’s just not the trend for me.
The sliders and birkenstocks of the world. Not that I don’t know how to appreciate how comfortable they must be, but I didn’t indulge myself on these ones. There’s something about them that I don’t quite find aesthetically pleasing.
It’s not that I don’t like patterned leggings, I just don’t look good in them. Something about the pattern and it being elastic. I love black and leather leggings and would wear them all the time. But patterned, doesn’t work for me, unfortunately.
I’ve seen people wear them and look gorgeous but for my hips, peplum tops or jackets don’t work. I’ve tried them and utterly failed. Especially if worn with a pair of boyfriend jeans, I’m out for failure. Maybe with a high wasted skirt or pair of pants – I ought to try.
Many years ago I had a turtle neck sweater, from Zara, in each color. But now, I feel like I’m going to smother under there. They look very elegant and, if tucked in a high wasted leather skirt, sounds yummy. But I don’t think the cut flatters me. But because not all is bad, you can also check my Top 5 favourite trends of all time.
