#NYFW update

Day 6 of Fashion Week – or September 9th – was a hoot. I almost wanted to display all the photos of all the shows. Oscar de la Renta shows a lot of florals and see throughs – something seen in other runways. The jacket and the pink are just phenomenal. To this day I still get astonished by the things some designers can achieve with patterns and colours and fabrics. Elie Tahari has a very sporty-chic-city collection, very casual outfits that can be worn to your every day errands. Love the grey skirt. I’ve been descovering MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela in the last few months and I just love the relaxed, cool and outgoing style they try to aspire. Everything is loosely fit and even previous collections are totally wearable pieces. Noor show cased a lot of metallic – which were a big trend this previous spring – and patterns with pastel and subtle colours. The combinations though, are beautiful. Tory Burch isn’t a stylist I normally appreciate but, recently, I have been seeing her items on some of the fashion and lifestyle bloggers I follow and have been looking at it differently. This jacket reminds a bit of the Balmain dress Kim Kardashian and  Jourdan Dunn wore to the VMA’s – very structured and a similar looking pattern. Badgley Mischka has a very Marie Antoinette inspired collection with very pastel coloured pieces. These shorts are oh-so-very-pretty and I was going to make a very similar pair last summer, from a jacket that belonged to my grandmother, until they told me how much would it cost. Once again, pictures are from here.
