#NYFW update

I know that I’m a day or two late but time is utterly important for fashion week and, so, I gave the websites I check (daily) time to update their news stream, so I can give you the most important parts – at least for me – of the fashion shows. Day five of New York Fashion Week was filled with big names of the industry and, surprisingly some of my picks. Donna Karan is always a classic and her clothes are just beautifully designed to fit women’s bodies. She exhibits the combination of sporty-chic trends that make you want to wear those clothes to everyday chores. Carolina Herrera was her normal self with a younger edge reflected in her clothes. She did a spring 2015 collection worthy of a young-woman’s closet but, her mother can also pick some of the pieces up and mix them for a more age appropriate look – if that even exists. Zac Posen stuck to black, white and plain colours. His designs are very simple, the lines are clear, straight and then, he adds those strapless tops that bring us a little back in time to when Madonna used the famous Jean Paul Gaultier ‘rocket cone’ corsetry – without the pointy tips.
