Yesterday night we had our first “night out experience” in Manhattan. After a friend, living in Dubai and working for Emirates, invited us for dinner in the city, there was no way to turn it down. We left Long Island at 6pm and arrived one hour later. We parked near 23rd street and madison and went for a small shopping spree at MUJI – we bought our first house items. Then, we headed to the rooftop of the 230 on fifth avenue. It was still day when we arrived so we got to see the night take place over the magnificent city that is Manhattan. We had a snack and some drinks and enjoyed the wonderful view. I took this picture with my iPhone and it says it all. After that, we went to Times Square – needless to say, it looks bright day when you stand in front of all those screens. It’s still amazing to witness. You can get easily drawn by the city and one thing is for sure, my future plans include living somewhere in the island. Nothing like a twist to shake up a Tuesday night.
