Work environments are definitely not the same anymore. But I’m totally aware that some offices still require you to wear typical office attire (e.g. pencil skirts, classic shirts and pumps). I’ve worked in both corporate and creative environments and, of course, you can guess the winner. Even though a corporate place makes it easier for you to dress in the morning, the creative part of it is so much fun.
If you’re like me, you’re definitely going to try and mix both. It can feel as appropriate to have a paint suit with the right accessories, or a patterned skirt with a white shirt. There are definitely no rules when it comes to creative environments. I’ve worn mini skirts, shorts, ripped jeans, fun tops, mixed patterns. Not even the sky is the limit. But lately, I’ve been driven to create a set of outfits that are easy, fun and still have a touch of je ne sais quoi.
I’ve had these pants since last year. But like many other pieces in my wardrobe, they’re waiting for the right time to be worn. And the first time I paired them with this pink t-shirt and flouncy jacket, I was in love. The combination isn’t that obvious, but because it can clash a bit, I kept my make-up very minimal. Adding just a plump of lipgloss and mascara.
