Ever since I started baking almond cakes with my mom, I’ve been mad about nuts. They are nutritious, contain antioxidants, vitamins, provide a lot of energy, are rich in monounsaturated fats and are the perfect snack for in between meals. People who eat nuts regularly have a lower risk of heart disease and diabetes and are less inclined to eat junk food. An important factor is variety, don’t just stick to one nut but mix them to your preference. What I normally do is, go to the supermarket and buy them individually so that, after, at home, I can mix the ones I prefer. I tend to buy almonds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, pistachios, goji berries and raisins. What is your nut selection?
