Managing my curly hair is one of the hardest tasks I deal with (first world problems right?). It took me years to reach a point where I really loved my hair for what it was and wasn’t constantly complaining for not having straight or easier hair to tackle. It’s certainly a challenge and, for that, I developed a routine which I never skip when washing my hair. I read a lot of articles and other blog posts that say you shouldn’t wash curly hair every day or every other day, but I honestly don’t know why. Sure, my hair looks better the second day but that’s not always the case and, given that I go to the gym almost every day, I cannot let it be!

1. I normally use the Pantene Curl Perfection shampoo and conditioner but lately have been trying new shampoos. I bought this Sebastian Drench shampoo and conditioner because I know and love their whipped cream foam. So far it’s been an interesting experience because I never know what to expect when my hair dries completely.

2. This green comb has been with partner in crime for years, my mother got it for me, and I only use it in the shower to untangle my hair after I apply the conditioner.

3. When my hair is still wet, I apply this Pantene Anti-Frizz Curl Crème that works wonders. It doesn’t leave my hair stiff or rigid, but natural looking without it getting too frizzy.

4. I normally dry it for one minute with a diffusor from John Frieda, and let it air dry.

5. Every other week I apply this hair oil (which you can also see here) to my curly tips, so they don’t get dry.

Are there any curly hair girls out there? What are your products and tricks?
