Sometime late last year I found this hilarious video about a new concept that’s emerging. With the rising of lifestyle and fashion bloggers, someone has to be on the other side of the camera snapping every single detail of what’s happening, ergo, Instagram Husband’s. I laughed so much with the video but ultimately saw some similarities with real life because, with every great post comes a great (thousand) shots.
The concept is basically that whoever is behind the camera is considered an Instagram Husband and holds all the responsibilities that go along with it. It’s funny how it’s so relatable to thousands of couples out there who document their lives through photos and videos and, of course, ask their significant others because they are more approachable. For me, there would not be any other way because M’s the person I spend most of my time with.
Last summer he was actually replaced by my mother because we weren’t physically together, so she became my Instagram Husband. Of course the reality is he doesn’t always have the time to take on this role, with which we have so much fun together, and for some of the times, I just use a tripod (here, here and here, for example) to lay off him for a bit.
