After last week’s ginger infusion, I’m bringing a simpler but as effective recipe to help your de-bloating and detoxing process. We all know lemon is great for our body, if not consumed excessively, with its alkaline properties, which help prevent stomach acidity. It’s also great as an antioxidant for your body and the vitamin C helps you prevent colds. This is a simple water with lemon.

Ingredients: slices of lemon, water and mint.

How to: chop a few slices off a lemon and add it to a cup. Peel off some mint leaves, wash them with some water and add to the lemon. Heat some water up and add it to the cup. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then remove the lemon.

Note: you can always skip the mint and just have water with lemon. If you drink it in the morning, gives you an extra energy boost, which is perfect to start the day – and preferably before breakfast.
