My favorite beauty tips

Ever since I started the blog, I’ve been more observant to the details of other blogs, posts, articles and even people. I started noticing a difference when I was actually paying attention to the tips and learning more about things I neglected for such a long time. Beauty is one of those things that I’ve come to learn it’s actually very important to know about – skin care, make up formulas and best products for you. Here are my favorite beauty tips, learned from friends, family and dermatologists.

Always apply moisturizer, foundation, concealer, or anything else to your face, containing SPF – but remember that each different product does not add SPF. Protection is key if you want your skin to stay clear of dark spots, wrinkles and other aging signs for as long as possible.

If you want your lipstick to last longer, apply foundation previously. It will make the color stick to your lip and prevent those dry lips.

Having curls is a tough job all around, you can’t wear combs, you have to wear conditioner at all times and the only place your hair is untangled, is the shower. What I figured, a long time ago, is that I can never dry my hair completely, but rather give it a few touches, otherwise, I’m going to look like a broom.

Always remove your make up. I keep repeating myself over and over and over again, but cleaning your skin every night is as important as applying SPF, drinking water or even eating vitamins. Except one or two times you are too tired or just fall asleep, try to always have a routine before going to bed.

Don’t be scared to try. I used to be scared and have a tight routine – still have a bit – but as of lately, I’ve been trying to experiment with products, looks and tools to see how I look (especially with lipsticks).

Your products, routines and look. It goes without saying, and complementing the above tip, how it’s important to try new and different products, realize what’s good for you but always look out for better and more adequate things that fit you and your ever changing style.

Another thing I’ve learner, the hard way and through research, is to never have heavy make up through your whole face. When applying strong or dark shadows, wear a neutral or classy lip and the opposite also applies. I’m a bold lip neutral eyes kind of girl, what are you?

Drinking water is an important part of your beauty regime, it keeps your skin and body hydrated while helping you release toxins and be/stay healthy.
