After the commotion that was the month of May, going by too fast, June is finally here to grace us with a little piece, quiet and a lot of work. I’ve said before that, it’s always great to have people over, staying with us for a few weeks, but it surely makes us appreciate the time we have with each other and even just ourselves. Later this week, I will make a sort of announcement and small one month celebration (and no, I’m not pregnant!).
This, is also the month when summer finally starts, and hopefully, the end of this crazy weather we’ve been feeling in New York. I’m dying to get to a pool and get some sun in this skin. Back home, everyone is already in summer mode and, especially, because it’s our annual Santos party, where we celebrate our saints. Lisbon gets dressed and accessorized and the streets are flooded with people from all over to party all night long. There are traditional parades, food and drinks and special places you can and should go to – like the old area of Lisbon. I had one of the best nights of my life there, a few years ago, way before M!
Finally, June is going to set the tone for two projects I’ve been wanting to start but lacked the time. Obviously I will share them with you when the time is right but, it’s safe to say, I was longing for this month, quite a lot. Welcome!
