Montauk sightseeing

End of the world. That was the description I found about Montauk. Two weekends ago, me, M and a couple of friends went to Montauk, to get away from the city and enjoy a little beach. We thought it would be the perfect weekend since Spring was coming on that Saturday but, boy were we wrong. It snowed a lot Friday when we got there, and kept going until Saturday lunch time. Luckily, it turned quickly into a sunny, windy and cold semi-paradise. The previous week had been St. Patrick’s Day and the town celebrates it with a parade on Sunday, so needless to say, it got crowded and a lot of people came over to spend the weekend. On Friday we spent the afternoon at The Point, drinking, talking and playing games and, after, had dinner at The Harvest. I cannot even begin to explain how good the food was. We ate a Mixed Seafood Bruschetta that was one of the most amazing things I have ever had – and I don’t even like seafood that much. We went back the next night just to have the same dish. We took a walk on the beautiful beach, strolled a bit through town and on Sunday went to see the Lighthouse and the Hampton’s, on our way back. We stayed at the Montauk Blue Hotel and already want to go back for the summer, to see how different this cozy town looks.
