Cupcakes are just the key to a girl’s soul. While my father was visiting, we took a stroll on the Upper West Side and right after the American Museum of Natural History, we stopped at Magnolia Bakery to have a cup of tea, coffee for him, and a cupcake. I first met Magnolia Bakery while living in Dubai and used to go there at least once a month to have a delicious red velvet goodness. In New York there are several shops and the one on the Upper West Side is beyond cute. It looks like an old vintage store with cute curtains, tables, chairs and accessories. The one I had was the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream and combined with the chamomile tea made a great afternoon indulgent snack.
