When you work from home, it’s important to maintain the space you spend most of your time in and as important to distance yourself from it when you are not working. I have a few essentials I swear by in my desk that help me work and my creative thoughts flowing but, first, I like to keep it tidy, clean, organized and as free as possible. Secondly, my most important tool is my computer – whether the one you see on the images or my laptop, I’m never without it. Thirdly, my agenda. I’m a total-agenda-handwrite-freak and I just love writing everything down so I can remember and look back. It’s my non-digital version of a blog with my daily tasks. A couple of notebooks are also around to nibble some ideas, a pencil, couple of pens, a lollypop in case I feel fuzzy and need some sugar and my phone, the unfortunate extension of my hand. I don’t have a big desk (for now) but I like to always keep a candle on it to relax when I’m trying to work. The soothing smell and look of it makes me automatically calmer. And finally a glass of water which I make myself drink every 10 minutes, also to have an excuse to get up, get a refill and walk a little around the apartment. I would love to know what are your desk essentials?
