My take

being-in-love, my-take, falling-in-love, love-can-be-powerful

Being in love can be something wonderful and destructive. Not only you feel like the luckiest person alive but also the one who suffers the most, even with all the horrible things happening in the world. It’s very hard to gain perspective when you’re in love and to re-gain it even harder. I thought I was in love in my first real relationship and that was the epitome of love. I felt like I trusted blindly in that person and was going to be him for the rest of my life. Was I wrong. Being in love requires a great deal of intelligence, stupidity, magic and ignorance. We all think we know and tame it but, in the end, we all feel ridiculous and cannot-believe-I-did-that-for-you. Even with M that happens and we got married. There are days when I don’t know or understand the strength I have to carry this relationship, with myself in it. Being in love is being able to do whatever it takes to make the other person happy but it also means making yourself happy. Someone who is not happy with someone else cannot be in love. We go on to celebrate Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, spend our days together and we should, we are not conceived to be alone, but being in love can carry good and bad. It’s up to you to decide which one prevails. Even if it’s just for life, being in love can be something wonderful and destructive.
