As I wrote on yesterday’s post, on Valentine’s Day weekend, me, M and G – a friend from Portugal – went to Boston. We headed out Friday night and got there around 11pm. It was a long drive and we arrived at a cold and white Boston. Blizzards and storms have been hitting the city really hard. Friday night we just ordered room service and chilled in the room, catching up news from Portugal. Saturday morning we woke up, had breakfast and started exploring the city. It was extremely cold but we were so excited just to be out in the town. The concierge at our hotel told us to walk the Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5 mile trail that guides us through the most important landmarks of Boston. I loved the city! It felt cozy and had that small town look and feel. We walked around for most of the day and by 4pm, the snow started to fall. We still had the public library and MIT to see. Nothing stopped us. We walked to the library, saw it all, went to a Starbucks to refuel and warm up and headed to see MIT. M was overly excited with it and it was contagious. Later in the day, we went to dinner at Nebo, one of the best italian restaurants I’ve ever been in, and went to have a drink at Drink. Sunday morning the blizzard had set in and we had to stay in, just a few hours after breakfast we drove back to New York, and left some places to be seen. It was a quick but great and fun weekend à trois.
