November is always a pretty exciting month. It’s my birthday and I always get to make a birthday wish list. When I was younger, my parents used to surprise me in bed with a gift at midnight and the next day I would wake up to one or two more. It was always a really cool day. Lunches were, normally, just with my parents and dinners with the whole family. As the years went on, it became more and more difficult to join everyone. Because I was in Lisbon or it was in the middle of the week. Only one tradition remained: my father would always have lunch with me, wherever I was. This tradition was, for the first time, broken when I was in Dubai celebrating my 24th birthday. I cried like a baby because he called me when it was midnight in Portugal and again when it was midnight in Dubai. It was a hard birthday but a good one too. This year, I’m going to be in New York and there is nothing planned. All I can wish for is for another year like the past one. November, cheers to you!
Sweet November
