My take

I am still kind of in a birthday mood so today’s take is about growing older. I mean, we only really realize it when we turn 24 or 25. Before that it’s all fun and games. We start getting older and feeling the weight of the world, lose our naiveness and everything becomes real. There comes a point when we have to be accountable for our actions, attitudes and words and there’s no room for regrets – or there shouldn’t at least. It’s good to be a responsible adult but also know how to relax. We get to drink whenever we want, live with someone we are in a relationship with, drive, own a car, eventually a house, have kids and try to fulfill our times doing what we love. All those indecisions and insecurities start to fade away and, I like to believe, that age brings us more certainties, confidence and maturity. We get to be the ones in charge of our household and there is no one to explain things to – why do you shop, go out, had dinner late, etc. It has its up’s and down’s but, overall, it’s great to just be able to make your own decisions, follow the path you want and have a lot of fun along the day.
