Pardon My Bordeaux Sweater and Vichy Skirt

I think I’ve mentioned this quite a few times, but winter in New York isn’t always easy going on the legs. Back in Portugal you can still break a skirt every now and then. But here, only when temperatures are mildly nice. The minute I got this bordeaux sweater, I wanted to wear it with this skirt. And the whole outfit came together as soon as I got .

If you remember this skirt from the summer, you know the pattern is called gingham. But apparently, the french call it vichy. Which sounds way better to pronounce. I’m wearing vichy. Zara has a whole section dedicated to the print, which is amazing. You can find a variety of pieces that are great, especially for summer. And if we really think about it, it’s very french. The whole biking through the Seine with a picnic basket, your vichy pants, white t-shirt and a head scarf. I think I just found my summer outfit formula for 2017.

Given that, I’m all about mixing styles, I figured it would be a pattern that works well with a bordeaux sweater (also seen here). And a pair of for an everyday easy wear. Now, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m all about the CPW – or cost per wear. What I mean by it is, when you buy something that might be a bit off your budget, you have to make sure you’re going to wear it tons. Not that it doesn’t apply to cheaper pieces, but if you’re investing, it has to be something you either love or know you’re going to be wearing a lot. That’s exactly the case for these , bordeaux  and . They are 3 of the most easy to wear pieces, either combined or separate.
