This is a first here on the blog. And if you follow Eva Chen on Instagram, you know she’s the one I got the inspiration from. From time to time, she does these short videos where she talks about products she’s been using and finishing to the last drop. And I thought it would be interesting to do the same in post form. Because these are the products I can honestly talk about in terms of results, reviews, what I’m keeping and throwing out. Or the empties.
With no particular order or preference, let’s start with these two. has me at mixed feelings. I kind of like the product. Love the smell, the texture, the post-feeling. But it doesn’t feel like it has any real effect on my skin. I always applied it in the morning, after washing my face, but failed to see what it actually did. And I’ve been using it for several months now. Not sure if I’ll be repurchasing it.
Then we have this little beautiful . I recently saw that some bloggers received the whole collection of the crayons – I could only wish. And I could not recommend this enough. Already got a new one because it’s something I apply every single day. Whether on the inner or outer lid of my eye. It’s magic and what taught me to do a sort of cat eyed look. A tip I found out during the steaming New York summer: wet the tip before applying, it will make it run smoother and last longer.
Already on my third tube, this little hand miracle is amazing. , which American customs kept when I went back home for Christmas, is nothing but goodness for your hands. I used to carry it around in my bag, but it’s too heavy. So I started using it at night before going to bed. I have this very simple routine of applying my face serum and moisturizer, lip balm and hand cream while already in bed, talking to my husband and cuddling with Poppy. But the product. Oh! I love the smell, the texture, the rapid absorbing. Do yourself a favor and ask for a sample!
Another product I already re-purchased. . I could stay here all day and give you a thousand reasons why I love this. In spite of making my skin really dry after applying it, it’s just the most amazing thing. Lately I’ve been using it in the shower, while my conditioner sets, and I rub my face for as long as I can. The texture is so soft, the make up comes off easily and there’s no need to use toner after. I actually use it before. Just try it once if you can.
This is one product I won’t be repurchasing, at least for now. Because all love affairs eventually find out the harsh truth, I don’t like the . At first I was utterly amazed, but as time went by, felt like it was tiring my skin out. Maybe they are too strong of a product to apply every day, twice a day, but it was causing me blemishes and very, very dry skin. They might work better in the summer and I’m totally willing to give another chance. But not right now.
Last but not least, the . Yes, yes, yaaaasssss! Finally a concealer that makes my skin look dewy, glow-y, light and illuminated. I’ve been applying this concealer all over my face, like it’s a foundation. I dab it on the spots I need the most (under my eyes, my chin, around my nose) and with a beauty blender, tap tap tap. Urgently need to restock it.
