Healthy snacks. What to choose?

Lately I’ve been focusing a lot too much on the fashion side of the blog and neglecting the remains of what life is about. When summer comes, blogs, magazines, newspapers, get clogged with “summer lists”; how to get that flat stomach, how to have dreamy legs, what protection to wear, what shampoos to use. An article I always find interesting is the snacks one. What to snack during summer when it’s hot, sticky and/or you don’t feel like having too much trouble. For me, nuts are always a good option. You just have to buy them from the supermarket or your local farmer’s market, poor it in a bowl and that’s it. Nuts are often very high in nutrients and have a considerable quantity of (good) fat and vitamins, rich in essential amino acids, which helps you lower your cholesterol. Another good option is dried fruit (and actual fresh fruit). The sugar it contains is natural and, even though we shouldn’t eat too many, just for a snack they sound and taste delicious. Another good snack, of my choice, are natural juices, home made iced tea, and my favourite, water with lemon. They provide a high vitamin C font, keep you hydrated and are very good for your skin – with no added sugar of course.
