My Most Frequently Asked Question on Instagram

I haven’t done a video in so long. Sometime last year, I was feeling so burnt out, and just gave up. But now, I’ve been reading blogs again, watching YouTube videos, following along and feeling inspired. So inspired, that I’m challenging myself to start doing weekly videos. But that’s another talk, and I do not want to promise anything.

Today’s video is about one of the most frequent questions I get on Instagram. At least as of late. Or the past 8 months. And the question is regarding my skin. What have I done to it, how did it get better, did I see a dermatologist. And instead of answering them one by one — which isn’t necessarily a problem. It’s not like I have thousands of messages. But I figured it was easier to put it all on a small video. Also, while catching you up on life and showing you my (new) routine.

If you’re new to this space, or my Instagram, first of all, welcome. Secondly, to give you some context, I’m talking about my long-time struggle with adult acne. Which I never had, clearly, until I was 21. But over the past few years, it has gotten a lot worse, to the point of infection. So last summer, when my skin visibly changed (from this to this), I started getting some questions.

Also, I have to disclose that I’m not a dermatologist and, again, I’m not necessarily recommending you these products. We’re all adults (or most of us) to know that what works for me, might not work for you and vice-versa. I just thought that sharing my story would help you out with your issues, or maybe incentivize you to seek proper help for your specific skin problems. Have you had any of the sort? I’d love to read your story.
