Believe or not, it’s December and ’tis the season to gift. I know that some people are already thinking about what to give their loved ones, but I refuse to propose a gift guide before December is here. But now that the jolly month is – it’s been a whirlwind since January – let’s start with the gifts I’m an expert at: her! Being a her myself, makes it easier, but I don’t necessarily gift others what I would like to be gifted. I analyze the situation, the person and pay attention to anything they might hint.
This year I decided to do things differently and think about gifts on a budget. Because, aren’t we all? I picked 3 price ranges of assorted item, so, really, 3 gift guides in one. Every week a new one goes up and, as always, let me know if there’s a particular gift guide you’d like to see.
For me, practical gifts are always the best choice. Things that she might wear, use, apply. Make up is always a safe choice, as are perfume sets. Slippers for the apartment, a striped basic sweater always comes handy. A coffee table book – what girl doesn’t love a coffee table book. A delicious and soft beanie for winter, set of lingerie, a pair of cool and trendy sneakers. I’d steer clear of trends and stick to basics. You might not be sure of the girl’s taste and style. Playing safe in gifts is normally the best.
If you’re willing to go a bit over board and are the gift wizard, here are some great options to help you get started or even decided. I particularly love giving, and receiving, pretty scarfs. I don’t necessarily know how to use them, but just the touch of a silk scarf, omg! You can also go for more of a tech side. Offer a pair of very cool headphones, phone case. Yet again, make up is always a safe and amazing choice.
If you have the budget and are really into giving expensive gifts, this is the list for you. I feel like, for family and friends, going above a certain budget is just for some people. And I’ve never given anyone a gift that cost more than $200 (more or less). But I wish I could give whatever I want and truly invest in the gifts I give. It’s such a joy to gift someone something they aren’t expecting.
