Snapchat

It’s true that I struggle everyday to cut down on social media, but people keep coming up with more ways than one for us to connect with each other and be there when we actually aren’t. If you follow me on Instagram you saw here that I recently started snapchatting more frequently and advised you to follow me (daduxa).

For those of you who are still out of the loop, let me explain, snapchat is an app you can download on your phone – from what I understand it doesn’t work on a computer – on which you can record snaps of your life. Whether in the form of pictures or short 1 to 10 second videos that disappear in 24 hours, you can connect with your followers on a more real/personal/non-manufactured way. More recently they started adding everyday filters and characters that provide a funny moment for you and others.

It’s different from Instagram in a sense that it’s raw and not programmed, you just snap, post and you’re done. Things don’t have to look pretty or organized, and your showcasing moments of your day. I honestly don’t spend a lot of time there and only check it once a day, but it’s like watching a real-life-tv-show.
