Three way denim

As I explained here, I’m in love with denim and I’m trying to wear it all sorts of different ways and, because of that, I decided to show you how I normally pair it in three very different styles. A denim shirt is highly versatile and can be combined in multiple ways, you can make it look casual or ready for a night out.

This was one of the ensembles I wore the most when living in Dubai. It was the perfect combination for heat/extremely cold situations, given that when you are outside it’s scolding hot and inside any place is freezing cold. So you can easily switch up and make it look a little bit more put together.

These shorts (also seen here and here) have a more formal look to them, elevating your outfit and any denim shirt. I would totally wear this to a meeting, with the shirt tucked in and without the knot, with a bucket bag and a more combed hair.

Pairing denim on denim isn’t always easy, but everything looks good in a pair of 501’s. The trick is to mix light colored denim with dark colored one (also seen here and here), making the ensemble look more even and not so monochromatic – if you can call it that. Being a slightly similar tone, mix it up with a pair of heels and a scarf tied to your waist line, to make it look more prominent.
