Denim has been around since the 1920’s and has been a staple ever since. First created for the working men in mines and fields, they were used to resist the adversities of hard work conditions. Over the years, they started their metathesis to more mainstream looks. I remember my mother telling me that, in her youth years, she was one of the first women to wear jeans in our hometown, which was quite the statement. Nowadays there’s no stopping to whoever wants to wear a pair of jeans or anything denim. I have at least six or seven pairs of jeans in my closet that I swear by and, recently, started to get into the Levi’s scene (here and here) where I found the perfect pair of jeans. My latest addition was a pair of the famous 501’s which are the perfect fit. We’ve seen denim come and go but, overall, it has maintain its status as a go-to casual chic part of our outfits.
